Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Renewal Desk website, platform, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Renewal Desk (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, subscribing to a territory, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Renewal Desk provides renewal intelligence software for surety bond producers. The Service surfaces contractor and license data from official sources, vets and qualifies renewal opportunities against published criteria, scores intent, and delivers curated territory-based access — not undifferentiated prospecting lists. Revenue estimates, commission projections, and similar figures are informational only and are clearly labeled where they are not based on your actual policy data.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of your agency or business. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at accounts@renewaldesk.xyz if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Territory subscriptions
- Paid territories are offered on an exclusive basis: one active subscriber per county (and applicable trade filter) at a time, subject to availability.
- Territory access, lead delivery, and related features are tied to an active subscription in good standing.
- You may not sublicense, resell, scrape, or redistribute lead data or platform output outside your licensed territory subscription.
4. Billing and payment
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for applicable fees, taxes, and adjustments. Prices are shown at checkout and may vary by county pricing tier.
You can manage payment methods, view invoices, and cancel from the Stripe Customer Portal linked in your account. Cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund amounts already charged unless a guarantee or refund applies as described below.
5. Qualified opportunity guarantee
Certain paid territories include a minimum qualified opportunity commitment for each billing period. Guarantee thresholds vary by county tier. A “qualified opportunity” is a contractor account that meets all of our published qualification criteria at the time of delivery, including an active renewal window, active license status, reachable contact information, and at least one renewal intent signal derived from official license and bond records.
Qualification criteria:
- License expires within 60 days (active renewal window)
- Active contractor license — not revoked or suspended
- Reachable contact on file (phone or named license personnel)
- At least one renewal intent signal: urgent window, bond signal, workers comp lapse, or qualifying score
Qualified opportunities are delivered on a curated daily schedule up to your tier's monthly allocation — not as an undifferentiated bulk prospecting list. If we fail to deliver the applicable minimum number of qualified opportunities in a billing period, we will automatically credit or refund 100% of that period's subscription fee, applied to your next billing cycle unless otherwise stated at checkout. The guarantee does not apply to trial access, paused subscriptions, or periods where your account is past due.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, or harassing purposes.
- Attempt to bypass access controls, scrape the platform, or reverse engineer our software.
- Misrepresent Renewal Desk data as a binding insurance quote, legal advice, or guarantee of business outcome.
- Interfere with the Service, other users, or territory exclusivity rules.
7. Data and intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, including software, branding, scoring models, and presentation. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during an active subscription. Lead and license information may originate from public and third-party sources; we do not claim ownership of underlying public records.
Your use of lead data remains subject to applicable licensing, telemarketing, privacy, and insurance solicitation laws. You are solely responsible for compliance in your jurisdiction.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS, ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR THAT ANY RENEWAL WILL RESULT IN BOUND BUSINESS.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RENEWAL DESK AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, OR LOST DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply.
